Vehicles with Keyless entry are being stolen at increasing rates in Liverpool, crooks have worked out that they can get into and start these keyless entry vehicles. They do this by extending the range of the signal from the key using a box of electronics fooling the car into believing the key is next to it, this is now known as relay theft. The Ghost Immobiliser is the only system on the market that will stop this kind of theft. The Immobiliser is installed onto the vehicle Can Bus and is integrated with the vehicle’s electronics meaning that to start the vehicle even with the keys you need to input a secret owner chosen code using buttons within the vehicles drivers console if you don’t know the unique code then you can’t steal the car.
Even if your vehicle does not have keyless entry, thieves are also stealing cars by breaking into them and programming a new key using the vehicles onboard diagnostics port (OBD). That’s if they need to do this as they can also steal your keys through breaking in or fishing the keys through the letterbox.
The Ghost protects your car from key-cloning, hacking, and even key theft. The only way a thief could take a Ghost protected car is by physically towing it away, even then they will never be able to drive it! The Ghost has no key fobs or LED indications to give away its location. The Ghost uses the buttons in your vehicles such as those on the steering wheel, door panels or centre console, to allow you to make a unique, changeable, PIN code sequence that must first be entered before you can drive your car. Just like your credit card but you can make your car PIN even safer by making it up to 20 presses long!

Prevent Keyless Entry theft in Liverpool
Cars with keyless entry and keyless start where you just need to have the fob in your pocket were created to make life easier but they also have a downside as they have made your car really easy to steal. Crooks, Thieves and Vagabonds in Liverpool have now got access to electronics that simply extend the range of the key so even with it left in your house they can easily make the car think the key is next to it, unlock and start.
In the video above, Thieves steal a brand new Mercedes within a couple of minutes, the first thief takes a box of electronics and moves it around the front of the house to pick up the signal that the key is omitting, once the signal is picked up the electronics push the signal to the electronics that the second man has near the car, lights flash and they are in. A few seconds later the car starts.
How the Ghost Immobiliser can prevent keyless entry theft in Liverpool
The Ghost Immobiliser is an electronic solution, once it is fitted you can forget about Keyless Entry Theft. The system works by stopping the vehicle running unless a pre-set code (Customisable) is input before the vehicle is started, its that simple, no big steering wheel lock rattling around in the passenger footwell and no needing to remember every day to put your keys in a faraday bag. The ghost is absolutely discreet, no one can see that it has been installed least of all those figures who hide in the shadows in Liverpool.
